Haana enjoys being a part of the Project HEAL team and is honored to work with an organization that advocates for those seeking eating disorder treatment. She believes that everyone deserves healing and is aware of the many barriers that can stand in the way of equitable treatment access. Haana has always found deep meaning in helping her clients on their journeys to recovery and is thrilled that she can continue to be an advocate for others in her involvement with Project HEAL.

Haana earned a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University that she obtained in 2009. In the past, Haana has worked at Oliver-Pyatt Centers (a Monte Nido Affiliate) – an eating disorder treatment center that provides the residential, PHP, and IOP levels of care. She was there for five years, holding a Primary Therapist position and then in an Assistant Clinical Director leadership role. Haana has also had experience working at several university counseling centers and currently has a full-time therapy practice.

Haana joined Project HEAL in 2020 and was on the Insurance Navigation Support team for a year, assisting beneficiaries with eating disorder treatment placement. In her current role as National HEALers Circle Chair, Haana is dedicated to building and supporting a network of eating disorder treatment providers nationwide who also share Project HEAL’s values of treatment equity and the belief that recovery is possible if one has access to quality care.

Haana resides in Miami, FL and her favorite ice cream flavor is Dulce de Leche.
