Cynthia M. Bulik, Ph.D., FAED

Cynthia Bulik, PhD, FAED is a clinical psychologist who works with researchers, clinicians,
families, advocates, and individuals with eating disorders to advance our understanding of the causes of and treatments for eating disorders.

Cynthia believes that the genetic research that she is doing with colleagues around the
world has the potential to improve understanding, treatment, and quality of life for individuals with eating disorders and their families.

Cynthia has the honor of being the Founding Director of the University of North Carolina
Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders and the Director of the Centre for Eating Disorders Innovation at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden where she lives half time.

Cynthia has received numerous awards in the field for her research and advocacy work.

Cynthia holds a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.

Cynthia likes chocolate chip ice cream.
