We understand that some people do not have access to health insurance. If you are currently uninsured, please complete this form before applying for a Project HEAL grant. Please let us know why you are not able to access health insurance and if you are experiencing special circumstances that require immediate attention. Within a week, we will review your form and either invite you to apply for a grant or connect you to a volunteer, who will help you find health insurance options. If you have questions, you can email scholarship@theprojectheal.org.

We encourage you to check out plans through your state’s Affordable Care Act marketplace.

Pro Tip: While it may be tempting to go for the cheapest plan you can find, it pays to shop around and compare mental health benefits. Paying a little extra upfront may save you a lot later on.

If you cannot afford the cost of a private plan, then please visit Medicaid (https://www.medicaid.gov/). Medicaid covers some low-income people, families and children; pregnant women; the elderly; and people with disabilities.

If you need help with your insurance application, a Project HEAL volunteer can assist you. Request assistance here.
