Kaylie Bucaro, Volunteer Specialist
Kaylie has been involved with Project HEAL for the past two years, and knows first-hand how important our programs are for individuals with eating disorders who might not have access to necessary resources. After interning under the Director of Volunteer Services, she instantly became passionate about connecting with volunteers on a national level, while working to assure there is accessible treatment for all people struggling with eating disorders.
Kaylie has a large experience working with kids and youth, from newborns to young adults. She has worked for various organizations such as Jumpstart and New York City’s Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), while also furthering her education around how to support at-risk youth, young adults/adults in toxic romantic relationships, and individuals struggling with substance abuse.
Kaylie is a trained Body Project Facilitator, Youth Mental Health Advocate, and was recognized by Coastal Fairfield County for her work in teen dating violence prevention. She is currently studying social work at Adelphi University.
Kaylie’s favorite ice cream flavor is currently Rocky Road, but it changes almost every time she tries a new flavor!
