Neville H. Golden, M.D.

Neville H. Golden MD is Chief of Adolescent Medicine and the Marron and Mary Elizabeth Kendrick Professor in Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine. He previously served as the Director of the Eating Disorders Center, Division of Adolescent Medicine, Schneider Children’s Hospital (now Cohen Children’s Hospital), North Shore- LIJ Health System, New Hyde Park, NY. He has been treating adolescents with eating disorders for over 30 years and has studied the medical complications of eating disorders in children and adolescents, focusing on the etiology and implications of amenorrhea in anorexia nervosa and nutritional rehabilitation (refeeding) in this population. He is the lead author of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine’s Position Paper on Eating Disorders in Adolescents and Young Adults, is a Fellow of the Academy for Eating Disorders and is a past member of the American Academy of Pediatrics National Committee on Nutrition. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Eating Disorders and the author of over 200 articles, abstracts and chapters.
