Pi Fong, Volunteer Manager
Pi believes fiercely in the power of volunteers to create change in our communities.
Prior to joining Project HEAL, Pi was the Regional Field Director for Freedom for All Massachusetts covering Worcester and Western Massachusetts which successfully defended the Massachusetts transgender non-discrimination law at the ballot. Pi is a transgender community advocate and activist. They currently serve on the steering committee of the Queer Asian Pacific-Islander Association in Boston.
Pi is a proud lifetime member of Girl Scouts and worked for Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts as a camp counselor and as a volunteer support specialist.
Pi holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Women’s & Gender Studies from Clark University. As a student leader, they were awarded the ALANA Student Network Diversity Award in 2014 and the Senior Outstanding Contribution to Intercultural Programming Award in 2015 for their support and advocay of LGBTQ students and students of color.
