Co-leader: Nicole Francis

Nicole Francis resides in Middletown, Rhode Island and is the Co-Leader of the Project HEAL - Rhode Island Chapter. Nicole is a teacher who works with toddlers to provide a safe, fun, and nurturing learning experience with a strong home-school connection. As a Project HEAL Chapter Co-Leader, Nicole is dedicated to helping others achieve full recovery from eating disorders by fundraising for treatment scholarships and making connections in the community. She is passionate about her leopard gecko Dwight, early childhood education, and her home state of Rhode Island.

Nicole’s favorite ice cream flavor is chocolate brownie crunch.


Executive Board Member: Kayla King

Kayla lives in State College, PA and serves as the Communications Manager of the Project HEAL – Rhode Island Chapter. Kayla earned a degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University. She is a mental health technician who works with children, adolescents, and adults to overcome the struggles of mental illness. As a Project HEAL Chapter Volunteer, Kayla is dedicated to being a reliable source of communication, optimism, and support for eating disorder recovery. She is passionate about victim advocacy in her community, promoting social justice, and writing poetry.

Kayla’s favorite ice cream flavor is a tie between vanilla and butter pecan.
