Celebrating 13 Years of HEALing

Thirteen years ago, then-teenagers Liana Rosenman and Kristina Saffran got an incredible gift for their May 4 and May 8 birthdays (respectively). They received the 501(c)3 certificate of incorporation for their own nonprofit.

On May 7, 2008… Project HEAL was born!

Since then, Project HEAL has fought for and supported thousands of people with eating disorders, and directly helped hundreds of people get into the treatment they need - at little to no cost to them. We've stood firmly on the belief that all people deserve the opportunity to heal, and treatment should not be a luxury of the privileged few.

The work we do is extremely challenging, and often, it’s life-or-death. But this week, we are pausing to celebrate…

  • 13 years of helping people access life-saving eating disorder treatment

  • 13 years of knowing that recovery is possible & that everyone deserves the opportunity

  • 13 years of supporting each other through struggles & cheering for each other’s wins

  • 13 years of fighting for the dignity & worth of every kind of body

  • 13 years of learning & growing together

Our birthday wish is to raise $13,000 so we can say YES to more people who need treatment but cannot access it without Project HEAL. Can you help?

BONUS: A generous silent donor is matching all donations dollar for dollar! That means every $1 you give is actually $2.

EXTRA BONUS: Every donation is an entry into a fun giveaway! That means every donation is an entry to win one of a couple dozen rad prizes.

Also helping us celebrate this week? Our co-founders!

  • Check out the Instagram Live we did this week with our CEO Rebecca Eyre interviewing our co-founders, Kristina Saffran & Liana Rosenman, about the early days of Project HEAL and what recovery means.

  • Kristina and her eating disorder treatment program Equip are matching gifts up to $15K towards our BIPOC Treatment Equity Project. Donate here!

  • Liana has shared a raw, honest & inspiring update on her personal recovery journey here.

Thank you for helping us celebrate this milestone birthday.

Thank you for all for your unbelievable support these past 13 years.

We could not do this without you.
