Rebecca Eyre, Treatment Access Program Director

Rebecca Eyre believes in the universal potential for full recovery from eating disorders. She is committed to fighting for radical body acceptance and against the insidious cultural norms of diet mentality and fatphobia.

Rebecca brings to Project HEAL a unique combination of program development experience, clinical knowledge of eating disorder treatment and insurance authorization, and enthusiasm for mobilizing communities toward change. She’s held leadership positions in strategy, marketing, and communications - and she knows how to set a vision, build a team, and grow projects to scale.

Rebecca spent nearly six years as a mental health therapist in both a treatment setting and in private practice, with her clinical focus being eating disorders and trauma. As a therapist, she developed a firsthand knowledge of the complexities - and too often, the injustices - of insurance coverage for eating disorders. Although she became adept at navigating the insurance landscape and securing authorization for complex cases, she knows that deeper systemic change is required before healing is truly accessible to all who need it.

Rebecca has a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology and is a licensed mental health therapist in WA State. She currently lives in New York City with her dog Mirabel. Her favorite ice cream is salted caramel from Molly Moon’s.
