Building Body Image Resilience Despite Diet Culture

Diet culture is pervasive and can make viewing your here-and-now body with neutrality and respect feel impossible. Join us to learn more about how to spot diet culture, recognize its impact on your self-image, and build body image resilience as popular culture tries to keep us small.

Designed for individuals who are healing from an eating disorder or disordered eating.

Korie Born (she/her) is an Intuitive Eating Counselor and Eating Disorder Recovery Coach with years of experience helping people recover, challenge their eating disorder voice, live authentically, and give diet culture the boot. Originally a middle school teacher, Korie started working in eating disorder treatment after seeing the impact diet culture had on her students. She believes that with the right support, anyone can find peace with food, movement, and body image. Her work is trauma-informed, based in several therapeutic practices, and gives people of all backgrounds and with all eating disorders tools to challenge their eating disorder and de-center food and movement rules to live a richer life. Whether seeking full recovery or a harm-reduction approach, she meets you where you are and gently empowers you to challenge your eating disorder and diet culture to make meaningful change in your life.
