Dr. Marcy Carty, MD, MPH

Dr. Marcy Carty, MD, MPH (she/her) is a nationally recognized physician executive and leader in value-based healthcare transformation, with over two decades of experience spanning innovation, clinical care delivery, and system-level performance improvement. Most recently, she served as President and Chief Medical Officer of myLaurel Health, where she led the merger and strategic evolution of the company into a differentiated home-based care model serving frail and medically complex populations. Prior to that, Dr. Carty held key leadership roles at Cityblock Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, and Evolent Health, where she built national clinical delivery infrastructures, designed value-based payment models, led network transformation, and built programs to reduce total cost of care while improving quality for high-risk populations.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Carty served as Chief Medical Officer of Steward Health Care’s Good Samaritan Medical Center, and as a physician leader at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she helped develop system-wide clinical information tools to enhance quality, safety, and care transitions. She trained in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s, earned her M.D. from Columbia University, and her M.P.H. from Tufts University, with a B.A. cum laude from Harvard. A Milbank Palliative Medicine Faculty Scholar and published expert in population health, serious illness care, and data-driven innovation, Dr. Carty’s work continues to shape the integration of clinical excellence, compassion, and operational discipline across modern healthcare delivery.
