Dr. Wednesdae Reim Ifrach, PhD., REAT, ATR-BC®, ATCS, LPC, NCC, CLAT, RMT, CDD, CCTP, CGP, CSTFP, AATCEP℠ (they/them) is an experienced art therapist and counselor specializing in eating disorder treatment, expressive art therapy, somatic therapy, gender-affirming care, LGBTQ+ issues, and clinical supervision, with a focused emphasis on supporting individuals navigating eating disorders and body image concerns. As a full-time professor in the Clinical Counseling program at Moravian University, they bring deep academic expertise into their practice. Wednesdae also co-owns and operates Rainbow Recovery, an organization providing clinical counseling, art therapy, supervision, consultations, trainings, and workshops to clients and practitioners throughout Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
Wednesdae’s community-engaged art therapy background includes contributions to the Monument Quilt, now housed at the Baltimore Museum of Art, and serving as a guest creator for the Museum of Modern Art’s Artful Practices of Well-being Program.
An author and researcher, Wednesdae wrote Queer Expressions: Expressive Art and Somatic Therapy Practices for Healing Body Trauma (North Atlantic Books) and authored the poetry chapbooks Hex & Flesh: 35 Incantations of Queer Becoming (Rebel Satori) and Skeletons, Sequin, and Kin (Finishing Line Press).
